Open House -- Come Meet Us!
Come for a campus tour and an overview presentation about Emagination's Computer Camp at Lake Forest College. Families interested in Emagination's Game Design Camp for teens are welcome to come for the campus tour but please note that the presentation primarily covers Emagination's Computer Camp program. Please call our office and speak with a staff member for any questions about the Game Design Camp.

The Lake Forest College Campus
Emagination's Illinois summer camp is located outside Chicago in the North Shore town of Lake Forest. Lake Forest College is situated on 107 park-like acres. It is an idyllic location for a summer camp in Illinois and Lake Forest and Chicago overnight camps and day camps. Overnight campers live in Nollen Hall and are grouped by age and gender. Nollen Hall is a recently renovated, fully air conditioned, suite style residence hall. Counselors live with the campers and provide 24-hour supervision. Athletic facilities include a pool, playing fields and gymnasium.

The campus is located just east of downtown Lake Forest and is a short drive from main north/south roads running along Chicago's north shore which is convenient for day camp families. Lake Forest is located 30 miles from the city of Chicago, the third largest city in the United States. Visit Lake Forest College's Website www.lakeforest.edu.

Programs Offered at Lake Forest College
Emagination offers two technology camp programs at Lake Forest College.

Computer Camp
Our core computer camp program is for 8-17 year olds and balances technology learning with fun summer camp activities in two-week sessions. At this location we offer 25 Technology Workshops plus Retro Games for daily recreation and fun.

All campers at Emagination are assigned to small groups with a counselor mentor. Kilobyte campers ages 8-10 eat together and receive assistance with daily living activities and have earlier bedtimes if they stay overnight. Megabytes ages 11-13 are the largest group at camp. Campers in 8th grade or higher before camp are part of Senior Camp. Seniors have more independence, free time and special activities.

Overnight Camp starts with drop off on Sunday afternoon and ends two Fridays later at 4:00 PM. The weekend in the middle of the session is part of the program and is tuition free.

Day Camp operates Monday-Friday and day campers are invited at no charge to Saturday activities and the end of camp party on Thursday night. Three Day Camp options offer parents maximum flexibility.

Day program runs 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM with pick up anytime between 4:15-5:00 PM

Extended Day program runs 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM and includes lunch and dinner.

Full Day program runs from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM and includes all three meals.

Game Design Camp
Emagination Game Design is a two-week overnight video game design camp in Atlanta for 15-18 year olds. Teens build a video game and get an in-depth view of what it takes to work at top game design companies. Guest speakers and a game design studio tour round out this video game camp program.
